Your Hotel les Deux Girafes has the perfect event to bring even more magic to your festive season: the Festival du Merveilleux (Festival of Wonders) at the Musée des Arts Forains (Museum of Fairground Arts)! Let us tell you about it ...

A glimpse into a magical world at the Festival du Merveilleux

Step inside the Pavillons de Bercy and you’ll have the impression of entering another world. These old Parisian wine cellars have been adapted to accommodate the Musée des Arts Forains. Follow the cobbled paths serving beautiful stone buildings whose rounded doors symbolise the passage of huge wine barrels and discover rides, automatons, mechanical music, puppets, games and attractions, some of which date back more than two centuries. They retrace the entire history of fairgrounds and their arts and artifacts, offering an enchanting experience for all ages.

A museum alive with colour and spectacle ...

Closed to the public the rest of the year, the Musée des Arts Forains opens its doors to all during the festive season for the Festival du Merveilleux. This year, from December 26th, 2021 to January 2nd, 2022, the theme of the festival is the Années Folles (Roaring Twenties). In addition to the attractions that make up the museum's extensive collections, you will witness astonishing performances by dancers, acrobats, jugglers, puppeteers, musicians and more as they take over the indoor and outdoor spaces. Magic is born in the air, on the ground, in silence or to the sound of catchy music, alternately humorous and poetic. A trip back in time to the golden age of funfairs ...

About thirty minutes by Metro from the Deux Girafes, the Musée des Arts Forains reinvents the holiday spirit with its Festival du Merveilleux. Don’t miss this unique experience and immerse yourself in the excitement of the Roaring Twenties!
