There are many arenas in Montmartre! Admittedly, they do not date back to classical antiquity as do those of Lutèce in the 5th arrondissement, but they do pay homage to ancient history and constitute a pleasant green space nestled at the foot of the Sacré Cœur Basilica. This open-air performance space lends itself perfectly to intimate concerts under the stars during which the audience remains in close proximity to the musicians. The Arènes Lyriques have chosen to offer their stage to young musicians and singers on the cusp of promising careers. Come and discover them before they become international stars.

 

A wonderful musical programme

With ten concerts scheduled for this 2023 edition, the Arènes Lyriques concert programme offers a variety of evenings, ranging from Rachmaninov to Chopin, from Berlioz to Saint-Saëns, via Smetana and Bellini. To interpret the works of these composers, 14 musicians will share the stage during the ten evenings, while the duet of sopranos will change each weekend. The festivities began on the last weekend of July, the 28th and 29th, and continue on August 4th and 5th, then on August 10th, 11th, 12th and 17th, 18th and 19th.
