Nestled in a former 19th century furniture factory in the heart of the 11th arrondissement of Paris, the Hotel Les Deux Girafes is a very original establishment. These exceptional spaces inspired the architects and interior designers who brought to life a hotel full of surprises where you can immediately feel at home. It’s therefore natural that the works of the collagist Philippe Janssens should be exhibited here from December 1st, 2018 to March 1st, 2019.

The collages of Philippe Janssens in the spotlight

To tear off, to cut out, to associate, to fold then compose and stick. This has been Philippe Janssens' favourite pastime since his childhood. It’s a creative journey that he follows daily, randomly in his wanderings of the streets of Paris and while browsing through magazines. His work feeds on his humour, his vision of the world and his moods, sometimes mischievous, sometimes darker. There are some amazing works, both extremely accessible and stimulating, gathered together in the exhibition called Collé Collé Moi. All in keeping with the image of the Hotel Les Deux Girafes!

The ideal venue for Collé Collé Moi

From its former existence as a furniture factory, the Hotel Les Deux Girafes has retained elegant spaces, tall windows and a 19th century industrial style aesthetic. It invites you to a unique experience differing greatly from that offered by stereotypical hotels. Behind the emblem of the graceful giraffe, myriad design details create a unique, warm, culturally rich and welcoming atmosphere. It’s therefore natural that the Hotel Les Deux Girafes also exhibits the works of artists we admire, such as Philippe Janssens, and promotes up-and-coming talent.

In the heart of one of the most stimulating districts of Paris, République-Bastille, the Hotel Les Deux Girafes hosts the creative endeavours of an astonishing and original collage artist, Philippe Janssens. Come discover 32 works in the hotel and 10 in the restaurant!
